Protest Against The Mental Health Bill (PAB)

This part of the site is designed to let you know who PAB are, and what we are doing. It's also where you can find out more information about the Draft Mental Health Bill, and how you can get involved with the protests that we are organising to fight against it.

About The Organisers (PAB)

Protest Against The Mental Health Bill (PAB for short) is a planning and discussion group of people who want to take part in a direct, peaceful protest against the proposed Mental Health Bill. The focus is upon promoting the direct and individual voices of those of us with severe mental stress who want to reduce compulsion in the mental health system.

We all have different viewpoints, experiences and ways of working, but we are united in that we are concerned about the impact of the proposed bill and want to do something about it. Some members have a connection groups such as NO Force, but many don't - there is no exclusivity, everyone is welcome to contribute.

Our major projects at the moment include the 'Message In A Bottle' campaign (against forced drugging), getting the user/survivor alliance up and running aswell as planning a range of protests in the near future to fight against the introduction of the Draft Mental Health Bill (the 'Behind Closed Doors' campaign).
