OUTCRY
Conference Report:
End
Of Conference
After a long but very productive day, the conference
closed in a spirit of unity. Before departing we held a one minute
silence, in thought of fellow users/survivors who were unable
to be with us on the day, and in memory of people who are no longer
with us.

Feedback From The Conference
"Mental
Health is not the only issue this Government has mishandled in
my opinion. There is Iraq, the Foot and Mouth outbreak (over-reaction)
and Animal Rights (Diaries of Despair)…To extend in-patient
Tribunals to discharge patients - they will be deprived of the
opportunity of putting their case in this way. Achieving discharge
is not the point if users/survivors feel they should not have
been incarcerated in the first place”. Audrey, London
“Excellent
day, full of pain and passion- let’s not lose it, demo for
Nov – organise, put details on NO FORCE website. Well done
to all who did the hard work – nice one!" Cath
“Thank
you. Very thought provoking. Time for action!" Richard,
Somerset
“Thanks
for the day, heart felt speeches. Keep up the good work. We’re
powerless without you". Pat Hitchin, Herts
“Thanks
everyone – whose services are they meant to be for anyway?
If they’re not what we want become REFUSERS not USERS –
build the kind of support we want”. Jan, London
“Very
good day. Roll on action. March!! Let’s show the public”.
Richard and Denise, Reading
“I found
Dave’s speech passionate and inspiring – highlight
of the day. Spill the bill!” Ray, London
