Conference Report:
The Kiss It Campaign
Aidan
Shingler
In 2002 I initiated the ‘have a heart’
campaign which involved sending 3000 cards to psychiatrists, ministers,
head of trusts and MPs. This consisted of a card with a heart
with an arrow through it, which, when opened up was turned upside
down to look like a backside. Inside it read ‘stop the torture,
have a heart’
Today I launch the ‘Kiss It’ campaign,
which will take place on Valentines Day 2005. Here we attached
plasters to trousers [visually shows the audience the plasters
formed into cross shapes and attached to his backside]. We assemble
and then walk to, or near, parliament and give a mass gesture
defiance against compulsory depots.
We will generate press and media coverage on both
a national and international level
We have a steering group and a website on this
will be running next year
So, lets stop
the pricks, spread the word and ‘kiss it’!
